These days, you can find my writing on Matador Network, and in Edible New Orleans, Inside Northside and Edible Seattle.

I’m a freelance writer, originally from New Orleans, though I now call Seattle home.

I graduated  from Spring Hill College in 2007 with a degree in Political Science. My liberal arts education taught me how to live as an aware, active and compassionate global citizen, and this paradigm has influenced my writing and my life choices post-graduation. I spent a year in AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) where my team completed four service projects, including two Gulf Coast hurricane recovery phases. I’m proud of my work in NCCC and the increased awareness I gained of some forgotten segments of American society. I’m currently writing a book on my year of service. You can learn more and preview some of the chapters here.

My work has appeared online and in print. You can view my portfolio of articles here.

I also run a business offering grant writing and consulting services to non profits. For more information, go here.
